On October 8, OSU Libraries hosted New York Times bestselling author C.J. Box.

With over 200 attendees, including Friends of the OSU Libraries, students, faculty and staff, the H. Louise & H.E. "Ed" Cobb Speaker Series engaged Box about his journey as an author, including his writing process, future plans and audience questions.

The annual event is funded by the Cobb family and generous donations.

Undergraduate researchers can be a vibrant and valuable addition to your research program.

In this FAST START workshop, learn the many ways to engage OSU undergraduates in your work and why you should consider becoming a mentor.

Presenters Latasha Tasci and Dr. Rachael Eaton also introduce funding and support systems for undergraduate researchers; programs include the Freshman Research Scholars, Wentz and Purdie Research Scholars, the AURCA program and McNair Scholars.

Earlier this week, Dr. Linford Fisher, an assistant professor of history at Brown University, lectured on his new book, “Stealing America: The Hidden Story of Indigenous Slavery in U.S. History." Fisher's newest work focuses on uncovering the history of Indigenous enslavement in America.

Fisher discussed with students after the lecture and shared volunteer opportunities for his project, “Stolen Relations: Recovering Stories of Indigenous Enslavement in the Americas."
