The future of career technical education (CTE) took center stage at our Teachers College of San Joaquin (TCSJ) CTE Program Showcase in May.

Students in TCSJ's hybrid CTE program displayed projects that showcased how educators are building programs that connect students to real-world skills, industry expectations, and future opportunities.

High school students took part in the booths, too, showing how CTE programs are preparing them for the future.

The Early Literacy Community of Practice is looking ahead!📚

To wrap up the school year, educators from across San Joaquin County came together to reflect, collaborate, and plan for the year ahead—identifying key priorities to strengthen support for early literacy.

The group also finished the year with a renewed mandate. It was created following a declaration of support for a countywide early literacy signed in 2023 by superintendents of all 14 county school districts, the president of Teachers College of San Joaquin, the superintendent/president of San Joaquin Delta College, and San Joaquin County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Troy Brown. Leaders of those organizations all reaffirmed that commitment in an updated declaration of support in February.
