Today Post Commander Michael L. Emerson gave away more sleeping bags and target gift cards. Today the homeless and homeless veterans he donated to did not want him to take photos of them to add to our AMVETS page. But, it is nice to see how happy they are to get our donations.

Today Post Commander Michael L. Emerson with Post members Steve Spatola and Harold Miller (and Harold's wife Carol) visited Veterans at "The Commons" assisted living facility in north Stockton, California. We were able to wish them Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays. We had a chance to talk to each of them, we learned what branch of service they were in, where and when they served, etc... We also gave them each a small Christmas tree to remember us by, it was nice because some of them did not have a Christmas tree in their rooms.
