Thank you to all those who “followed” and “liked” my campaign page. It was a valuable resource in my communication effort to the public in my endeavor to become Stockton’s next mayor.
Obviously, as I did not advance, I will be reverting this page. Again, I want to thank everyone who supported me. We came close but sometimes it just doesn’t work out.
In a matter of days this page will focus on politics and campaigns with an emphasis on Stockton. I like to keep my official duties and campaign discussions separate.
My city council social media outreach remains active. For city council issues you can find me there.
Thank you!

The March 2024 primary results are all but official, and it is clear my campaign for mayor will not be moving on to November. The people are never wrong and I accept their decision. I am humbled by all those who chose me to lead this city.
This was one of the tightest and most crowded mayoral races in Stockton’s history. I’m proud that our vision – to restore trust in our City government, to improve housing affordability, and to produce real results for public safety – managed to cut through all the noise and earn the support of thousands of Stocktonians. I call on the top two candidates to take corruption, homelessness, and crime seriously not just on the campaign trail, but in City Hall once this election is over. Stockton deserves a Mayor who truly delivers on their promises.
It has been an honor to serve our city as a councilmember, and I will continue to do so until January when my ten years of service conclude. There is much important work we have to complete between now and then.
The resilience and optimism of Stocktonians, which I felt over 30 years ago when I moved here, remains the same today. My love of this city is stronger than ever.
Thank you, Stockton.

Let’s lead change together.
When I began this campaign for mayor, I never imagined how my people-powered movement would lead to so many discussions about the future of Stockton. I thank you for your input as it will help me better guide our city as we move forward!
Tomorrow is the last day to submit your ballot. I hope to have earned your trust and confidence to be your advocate as mayor. Leading change requires a team, and I want you on it!
Thank you, Stockton for your ideas, your optimism, and your passion.

As the March primary season comes to a close in just two days, I would like to state how humbled I am to be endorsed by the leadership of the Stockton Unified School District’s Board of Trustees in my campaign. They know I am as committed to good government reform as they are.
My pledge to the voters is the same today as it was when I first launched my campaign: effective leadership, transparency, and driving change.
As a former teacher, principal, and interim superintendent, their endorsement means so much to me.
Vote as soon as you can. Twenty-four hour ballot drop boxes are available at City Hall and the San Joaquin County Administration Building.

REMINDER
I am the only mayoral candidate endorsed by the San Joaquin Democratic Party, every local chartered Democratic Party club and organization, and several Democratic community leaders. Please get your ballots in the mail today to ensure your voice is heard.

“Leading Change" isn’t just a slogan I developed for the mayor’s race. I’ve had the mission and desire to improve Stockton since the day I was first sworn-in.
Take a moment to read this article on how I am working to improve downtown Stockton. I am proud to have taken the first steps in approving the Southpointe project: new market rate, affordable, and workforce housing along the waterfront.
This new development represents a major milestone in addressing housing and downtown renewal. A rising tide lifts all boats. As downtown Stockton thrives, so will our city!
Stockton hits a housing home run
Perhaps nothing is as important for Stockton to realize its potential as long-overdue downtown and waterfront redevelopment. This month brough

Allyson Aranda is a Stocktonian who, two years ago, decided to be the change she wanted to see. Accordingly, she ran for a seat on the Lincoln Unified School District Board of Trustees.
She won, and she’s been very influential since day one. She's been a real difference-maker for teachers, students, parents, and staff.
I am honored to have her endorsement in my race for mayor!

I am thrilled to announce my support from the San Joaquin-Calaveras Central Labor Council, the region’s largest consortium of professional trades. Let’s put a friend of labor in the mayor’s seat!

Leading change means improving Stockton’s impression in the public eye. Perception matters!
I am beyond humbled to be endorsed by my fellow elected leaders across California. As a Stockton city councilmember I frequently interact with counterparts in various organizations such as the League of California Cities and California Council of Governments.
