Invasive Pest Alert in San Joaquin County
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner is urging residents to check their recently purchased grapevines after an invasive pest , the glassy‑winged sharpshooter, was found on plants sold at Costco locations across Northern California, including Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, and Tracy.
This pest can spread a disease fatal to grapevines and is harmful to many other plants.
If you bought a grapevine from Costco on or after April 21, do not move or dispose of it. Isolate the plant and contact the Ag Commissioner’s Office at 209‑953‑6000 or [email protected] for inspection.
