The Stockton Volunteer Fire Company remembers Neil Allen Payne, fire chief of over 30 years and served with our company for over 36 years. He was a leader, a friend, and a great person all around. We miss him dearly and we hope to carry on his legacy through the work we do each and every day. RIP Chief Payne

Last night, your Stockton Volunteers were alerted to two calls for service back to back. First at 1938 hours for a motor vehicle accident at the 3300 block of Snow Hill Road in Girdletree. Rescue Engine 2 responded and arrived to assist with scene stabilization, traffic’s control, and even provided a driver for one of Snow Hill EMS’s ambulances to be able to transport one of the patients.

While still on location, your Stockton Volunteers were alerted to assist Snow Hill with a smoke investigation on the 5400 block of Market Street. The source of the smoke was later identified as coming from lumber yard.

Your Stockton Volunteers were out with our friends at Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Company Inc for a controlled burn. We successfully burned a home and a chicken house last night. Partnerships like these are important to have and maintain for when the next big call comes out.

Last Saturday, your Stockton Volunteers partnered with the American Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region and the Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office for a Sound the Alarm Campaign! 10 homes were visited and dozens of new smoke alarms were installed. We are grateful for our partnership and are potentially looking into holding similar events in the future.
