On Tuesday, our Executive Director and Deputy Director had the opportunity to join the San Joaquin County Office of Education for an exclusive tour of the Port of Stockton.

The visit highlighted the Port’s vital role as a key economic engine for our region and provided valuable insight into the growing workforce needs, career pathways, developing projects, and industry opportunities that continue to shape San Joaquin County’s future.

We are proud to partner with the County Office of Education and the Port of Stockton to support workforce and economic development efforts that create meaningful opportunities for our community. We look forward to continuing these collaborations and building stronger pathways across our region.

In observance of Memorial Day, all WorkNet Centers will be closed on Monday, May 25th, 2026. We will reopen Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 with normal operating hours.

We were excited to welcome so many community members interested in the wide range of career opportunities available throughout San Joaquin County. Management at the Employment and Economic Development Department took time to recognize our team for Public Service Recognition Week, and it truly meant a lot. Last week, we had the opportunity to table at the Second Chances Job & Resource Fair 2026, hosted by Friends Outside, and what an incredible event it was!

With more than 400 justice-impacted individuals in attendance and 50 public agencies, nonprofits, and employers coming together, the impact was undeniable. this event truly lived up to its name by creating real second chances for our community.
