May is National Foster Care Month, highlighting the importance of those who open their homes and provide children and teens with stable environments until a long-term living arrangement is found. A safe and caring environment is vital to each childâs success, and thatâs why the foster care system offers kids a safe place to grow, develop and learn.
With open arms and warm hearts, foster parents take time to fill the temporary parental void in childrenâs lives across the nation.
Contact Us and become a foster parent.
Thanks again for your hard work Rene.

FEFC & Adoption Agency is Licensed by the State Department of Social Services to operate a treatment and Child Placement Agency. We recruit the most suitable and qualified parents for the purpose of providing quality care for the children. All prospective parents are screened through the application process which requires one to be able to demonstrate, among other things, that one is a person of good character and acceptable moral fiber. Resource Families are recruited, trained and Approved as exclusive-use homes for Family Extension Foster Care & Adoption Agency.
Welcome to Family Extension Foster Care & Adoption agency, (FEFC), a non-profit organization with its main office in the San Joaquin County. The organization was founded in 2006, with a mission and passion to work with the at-risk children and provide a safe, healthy and stable environment conducive to positive, lasting change. Without permanent nurturing relationships with loving and caring adults, foster children are far more likely to endure poverty, homelessness, compromised health, unemployment, incarceration and other adversities, after they leave the foster care system, than their peers in the general population.
Armed with this knowledge, our goal is to provide a family environment to children who would otherwise be placed in institutional settings. Our main objective is to partner with adults in our communities who, like us, believe that children are our future. We can change their destinies by touching their lives one at a time. To that end, we seek out and recruit committed adults in our communities who are willing to invest their time and energy toward raising these children. We provide training and Approve Resource Families in compliance with state and county requirements. Once a home is approved, we continue to support the family by providing continuous education and open communication with the children and parents as well. Our âextendedâ families are the cornerstone of our success; ourResource Families are our pride and joy.
It has been rightly said, âit takes a village to raise a childâ. Accordingly, we invite responsible community members to partner with us in our endeavors to raise the "at-risk" children in our community. Our organization is a 501(c)(3) and thrives on the participation of one and all who are willing to bring safety and stability to troubled children. We invite those of you who have extra room(s) in your hearts and homes to consider opening them to this population. We invite businesses and individuals who are able to give monetary and or in-kind donations, especially around Christmas and other holidays, to enable us to make these occasions memorable for our children. âTo him who has been given much, much is requiredâ, Thus, the cycle of compassion and goodwill continues indefinitely.
