Carolina Township Volunteer Fire Department

We would like to thank everyone in the community who came through and helped support us in our chicken plate sale yesterday. We also would like to thank everyone who came and volunteered their time to help us cook and serve plates. This year we had a desert table that was a huge success. Thank you to every one who donated a cooker or desert to the cause. We appreciate every single person who made yesterday possible as well as the community who made it a success. See you all next year!

Some members of our department had the honor of walking in the 9/11 memorial walk. Hosted by Chocowinity Fire Department. Every year it just keeps growing and it warms our heart to see the nation come together from all over the county and neighboring counties to remember one of the worst days in history.

Congratulations to our chief!! Thank you for all you do and continue to do for our department.

This week’s Hometown Hero with NuBlue Electric, Plumbing, and Air is
Dustin Mills was nominated by his girlfriend Raven, who writes:

Dustin became chief of the Carolina Township Volunteer Fire Department this year! With little to no guidance he stepped up to the plate and has been doing his absolute best to try and grow the department for the better. He has been raising his daughter, who now has a love for the fire department and strives to be like her dad every single day. While being a chief of a department he also works a full time job with Piedmont working on hvac systems. The heart and passion he has for what he does truly shows, and he will give the shirt off his back to family, friends and anyone in the community!

If you happen to have driven by this afternoon, you may have seen our dedicated chief and he’s daughter cleaning up the flower bed around our sign. Sometimes it’s more than just the calls and the paperwork that needs to be taken care of
