🎃🍂 Pumpkin-Themed Learning in Our After-School STEAM Program! 🍂🎃
Our After-School STEAM students had a wonderful time exploring all things pumpkin! We began by enjoying the story Pumpkin Jack by Will Hubbell, which introduced students to the fascinating life cycle of a pumpkin. 📚🎃
After the story, the children had a blast participating in pumpkin-themed games that encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and plenty of fall fun! 🍁
The highlight of our activity was introducing a very special new member of our library family—our very own library pumpkin! After much thought, the students decided to name him Sam! 🧡
Sam will reside in our library until spring, giving the children a firsthand opportunity to observe the natural process of decomposition and discover how things change over time. As spring approaches, we plan to share Sam's seeds so that a new generation of pumpkins can grow and emerge next fall! 🌱🎃
We are so proud of how wonderfully our students are participating, listening, following directions, and engaging with each activity. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and thoughtful involvement demonstrate how meaningful hands-on STEAM learning can be! It's a joy to watch them make connections, ask questions, and learn about the world around them.
Welcome to our library, Sam! 🎃 We look forward to watching your story unfold and seeing what discoveries the seasons bring!
