Chilli morning for pump testing! The pumping capabilities of our trucks are tested annually to ensure proper operation. The trucks are pushed to their limits which causes the water to heat up as it recirculates through the system. Thanks to South Shore FD for hosting the annual testing site.

Reminder of this event on Tuesday! We really need a good turnout from our residents with their trunks full of candy for all the kids!!

This has become a rather large event for the township. We could use more people to come setup and pass out candy. Get a theme, decorate your car, enjoy the experience…but being plenty of sweets for the little demons!

We’ve seen it many times. An entire house can have fire damage but a room with a closed door is just fine. Keep yourself safe at night by sleeping with your door closed.

CLOSE BEFORE YOU DOZE!

Did you know that closing your bedroom door while you sleep can provide valuable protection during a home fire? A closed door can slow the spread of smoke, heat, and flames, giving you and your family more time to escape.

Make “Close Before You Doze” a nightly habit!

Close your bedroom door before going to sleep.
Make sure smoke alarms are working and located inside and outside sleeping areas.
Keep bedroom doors and exits clear of clutter.
Have a home fire escape plan and know 2 ways out.
Choose an outdoor meeting place for everyone to gather.
When a smoke alarm sounds, GET OUT and STAY OUT!

A closed door can make a lifesaving difference.

This Fire Prevention Week, make closing your bedroom door part of your nightly routine. Close before you doze!

We are included in this shortage. Consider helping your neighbors out. It’s really easier to do than you think. Message the page to see how you can get involved!

Ohio is facing a shortage of volunteer firefighters, which could lead to fewer trained personnel responding to emergencies, particularly in the state’s rural communities. https://nbc4i.co/4gvIZLI?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_NBC4
