Feel Good Friday... on Saturday... about Thursday!
I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but I wanted to share what a busy and active place the COA can be. This past Thursday, more than 60 residents took advantage of activities and services offered by the COA. In addition, the front desk receptionist handled over 45 phone calls throughout the day. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with and support so many members of our community every day! I was able to snap a few pictures throughout the day.

we are in need of at least 2 more seniors for this program as we had a couple of last-minute cancellations. It's a great program. Please consider!

Stow senior residents needed to participate in the Bridges Together Program, an intergenerational program that brings older adults and elementary school students together to share experiences, wisdom, and perspectives. See the attached flyer. Email [email protected] if you are interested.

The COA is looking for a volunteer to lead a fun and creative fall craft program for older adults in November. We are looking for someone with experience in floral arranging, crafting, or simply a passion for teaching others to create a beautiful fall centerpiece using a pumpkin and seasonal flowers. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your talents, connect with senior residents, and help participants create a festive decoration for the fall season. Email [email protected] if interested.

Feel Good Friday vibes! Our annual Senior Picnic was a huge success, made possible by the generosity of the Stow Friends of the Council on Aging. Beautiful weather, great food, and an even better community turnout. We loved seeing so many senior residents connect with each other and with Town of Stow, MA personnel, including Stow Fire Department and Stow Conservation Department, as well as Representative Kate Hogan.

The Town of Stow invites the public to join the Stow Fire Department at the Remembrance Ceremony for the 25th Anniversary of September 11th tomorrow morning at the Stow Fire Department, 511 Great Road. We ask that folks plan to be there by 9:45am with the apparatus rolling out for 9:55am, and the ceremony beginning at 10am.

"Each year, we take time as a department to honor the 343 FDNY firefighters, along with the police officers, Port Authority personnel, and civilians who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

This remembrance holds particular meaning for us here at Stow Fire Rescue. The memorial standing in front of our station was built by our own department members, and it holds a piece of steel recovered from the World Trade Center.

It's a reminder, every day, of what our members carry with them in this profession, and gathering there each year is an important moment for us to reflect as a public safety community." - Chief Evers
