It was a busy day at our community. We started the day with our final 3 Wheel Therapy Bike Rides of the season. We are sad that our rides are over for the year but also grateful and thankful for their volunteers and the amazing service they provide for our residents. And we ended the day with Jason bringing his pets to share with everyone for Reptile Awareness Day. The residents and staff took turns petting and holding a variety of reptiles including Bubbles and Star the ball pythons, Steve the corn snake, Uno and Remy the bearded dragons, Jupiter the boa constrictor and Graevus which is a Northern blu tongued skink.🐍🦎

Saturday our memory care residents showed their creativity with pumpkin painting. 🎃 They spent the afternoon snacking on pumpkin cookies and showing off their talent. With the help of our wonderful family members they enjoyed a traditional activity of the season.

Although the weather has started to change, our residents are still just as excited to take a 3 Wheel Therapy Bike Ride. They just bundle in a blanket and hit the trail.🚲

Dolly Parton was a country music icon who is greatly missed. Today we paid tribute to her at happy hour. The lobby was decorated in pink country decor. We snacked on pink cupcakes as we sang along to her greatest hits. Our residents were given pink boot shaped gift bags, heart shaped glasses and Dolly Parton stickers as gifts. We even received a visit from a very special guest! We spent a fun afternoon together honoring a wonderful woman.

On Alzheimer's Day, we stand with those affected by Alzheimer's disease and the families and caregivers who walk this journey with strength and love. Through awareness, education, and compassion, we can help build a more supportive community for everyone.

Our final days of Assisted Living Week were filled with lots of energy for both our residents and staff. Thursday our residents and staff sang their favorite songs at our karaoke party. Our staff also teamed up to compete in a scavenger hunt throughout the building. Friday carnival games along with popcorn and cotton candy were the treat of the morning for our residents.🍿Thank you Jason for providing us with the cotton candy! In the afternoon at happy hour we ended the week by presenting our amazing staff with fun awards. It was a week of making memories together. ❤️

Day 3 of Assisted Living Week was a busy day filled with laughter and camaraderie. In the morning our staff indulged in a refreshing dirty soda bar. And later took a break from their busy day to play a game of granny pants. Our residents started their day with a ride on the bike trail with 3 Wheel Therapy. And spent the afternoon relaxing by getting facials, hand massages and soaking in a foot spa.
