No Fiber Arts program this afternoon, but join us tonight at 7 pm to hear author Katherine Arden!

Katherine's Small Spaces series is a favorite in our kids' collection, and her Winternight trilogy is an OG historical fantasy. We are excited to hear about her newest book, The Unicorn Hunters!

New York Times bestselling author Katherine Arden (The Bear and the Nightingale, the Winternight trilogy) comes to Stowe Free Library tomorrow, Thursday, October 15, at 7pm to talk about her new novel, The Unicorn Hunters!

It’s fifteenth-century Brittany. Anne, a young duchess, is under pressure to marry the King of France, and she would very much rather not. To buy time, she leads her court into an enchanted forest on a pretend unicorn hunt. The trouble is that a real unicorn shows up. The book takes real history, adds folklore and a good deal of magic, and even offers an origin story for the famous Hunt of the Unicorn tapestries.

Come for the conversation and stay for the Q&A. Unicorn sightings are not guaranteed. Free and open to all. Books available for purchase and signing from Bear Pond Books .

WHEN: October 15, 7pm
WHERE: Stowe Free Library
WHAT: Author Event with Katherine Arden
