Today, the Stratford Fire Department had the incredible honor of escorting Paul "Paulie" Veneto and Paulie's Push through the streets of Stratford Connecticut!
Paulie, a retired flight attendant, is walking from Boston to Ground Zero pushing an airline beverage cart to honor the flight crews who were the first "first responders" on September 11, 2001.
As we approach the 25th anniversary, this final trek is "Everyone's Push," and we enjoyed walking with him and sharing stories of his journey this year.
Step by step, year after year, and with every wave along the road, Paulie continues to inspire all of us. By keeping his promise to "Never Forget," he brings genuine comfort to families affected and leaves behind a trail of kind words and smiles everywhere he goes.
Best of luck and safe travels on the rest of your journey to New York, Paulie!
