🔥 Fire Prevention Week at Strawn ISD!🔥

SVFD and ESD 1 Chief 2 had a great time visiting the students at Strawn ISD for Fire Prevention Week! Our crew talked with the kids about fire safety, the importance of having a fire extinguisher and how to use one, and staying safe when charging electronic devices. The students also got hands on and had the chance to spray the fire hose!

We love the opportunity to teach the next generation about fire safety and help our kids learn how to stay safe! ❤️🧑‍🚒

A big thank you to Strawn ISD for having us!

Stay safe, Strawn! 🚒❤️

🔥October Training | Station 14

Today, our crew focused on Search & Rescue training. Members practiced effective communication, conducting systematic searches, locating victims, and safely removing them from a structure.

Training like this keeps our firefighters prepared to respond safely and effectively when it matters most.

🔥 BURN BAN LIFTED | PALO PINTO COUNTY - 10/5/2026

Following the recent rainfall, the Burn Ban for Palo Pinto County has been lifted.

Chief 2 reminds residents that conditions can dry out quickly, and the burn ban could be reinstated if fire danger increases.

If you plan to conduct an outdoor burn, please notify the Palo Pinto County Sheriff’s Office before burning.

Even with the burn ban lifted, please use caution, monitor weather conditions and never leave a fire unattended.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates if the burn ban status changes.
