What a day in Stronghurst! Our favorite thing is watching people enjoy our community! Watching toddlers enjoy the bounce houses and the park, families shop and old neighbors catchup is the perfect way to spend a Saturday in September in a small town! The rain stayed away, the clouds and breeze kept us cool and we had a great day together!

We want to thank everyone who helped make today a success! We couldn't pull off Fall Fest without all of our fantastic vendors! Thank you to our local businesses who pulled out all the stops for our visitors in town! Thank you to Jeff Nichols and his crew for all their hard work putting together a fantastic Car Show! Thank you to the Stronghurst Lions Club for feeding all of us a delicious breakfast (yes, including us working at the park this morning!) and for all you do in our community! Thank you to ALL of the volunteers who put in countless hours to put together such a successful event! Thank you to the Henderson County Fair Association and Board Members for putting on a great Henderson County Havoc this evening! Thank you to our awesome community members who continue to support our events!

Lastly, a HUGE shoutout to Shelly Gittings and her family for all they do for Fall Fest. Shelly is the mastermind and Queen of our Fall Fest. Without her, none of this would happen! That awesome photo booth, that's ALL Shelly! So if you love Fall Fest, make sure you sing her praises next time you see her!

Fall Fest is over so that means we are jumping right into Christmas! Watch our page for all of our upcoming events for the Christmas season! 🎄

The Stronghurst Booster Club wants to recognize all of the hard work that our neighbors put into their yards and properties! We want to help facilitate a culture of pride in our community by celebrating the people who take the time to beautify their yards.

Our last recipients for Yard of the Month for 2026 are Jerry and Chris Carnes! Please help us celebrate the their hard work that shows in their beautiful yard! Congratulations, Jerry and Chris!

Keep an eye out for the Yard of the Month sign in their lawn, and be sure to give them a wave when you drive by! 🌷🏡✨

We want to thank Ned and Megan Adams for their years of donating straw bales to the Stronghurst Booster Club and our little village. Their generosity provided us the opportunity to create a great community building project in our Straw Bale Decorating Contest.

That being said, we are making a pivot this year in our efforts! This year, we will not be holding our Straw Bale Contest BUT will be trying something NEW! In November, we will bring to you The Great Christmas Pot Decorating Contest! The large flower pots around town will be assigned to interested participants and the community will again be encouraged to vote for their favorite! The pots will be decorated before our Annual Christmas Open House for all of our visitors to enjoy! We have a fantastic traveling trophy picked out for our winner!

Watch our page for more information! Feel free to send us a message or comment below if you are too full of Christmas spirit to wait! 🎄
