Our latest Citizens Police Academy class graduated last night. The academy class was comprised of 12 participants from the Strongsville community who learned about many aspects of our department over 8 weeks. Classes were held on Tuesday evenings from 6-9 p.m. Participants received instruction on Constitutional law, traffic stops, traffic crash investigations, impaired driving enforcement, detective bureau investigations, use of force, motor vehicle pursuits, assisting those with addictions and mental illness, SWAT operations, police drones, Flock cameras, Run.Hide.Fight, and K-9 operations. Anyone interested in attending our Citizens Police Academy in 2027, contact Lieutenant Shamus Kelley at [email protected].
We thank our Strongsville community for all the continued support. Congratulations to all our graduates – job well done!

Officers Drlik and Damore visited the Sts. Joseph and John Little Vikings Preschool last week as part of Community Helper Day. The students learned all about safety, what police officers do to help keep our community safe, and even got to check out one of our police cars and motorcycles up close.
Thank you to Sts. Joseph and John School for inviting us to this event over the last few years.

Macy’s at SouthPark Center generously sponsored our back-to-school event this past Sunday. Thanks to your grant of $2,500.00, ten amazing children had the opportunity to spend the evening shopping with members of our Strongsville Police and Fire Departments. The support of Macy's helped ensure these students get off to a great start this school year. We deeply appreciate your partnership in our city!
