Our seniors are making their needs known and standing up for older adults across Pennsylvania! Through letters to elected officials, they're calling for increased funding to keep senior centers open throughout the Commonwealth. According to P4A, Area Agencies on Aging face a $107 million shortfall after years of insufficient funding. Senior centers provide meals, support, friendship, and connection. Rates of alcohol and substance use are increasing among older adults. This webinar will focus on the prevalence of alcohol, cannabis, and opioid use among older adults, as well as best practices for assessment and intervention.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Erin Woodhead, Professor of Psychology at San José State University.

The PA Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Legal Line, 1-877-727-7529, is a statewide telephone-based legal service for Pennsylvanians age 60 and over who are raising their grandchildren or other kin children.

The Legal Line is staffed Monday to Thursday from 10am - 12pm. All legal services you receive from SeniorLAW Center will take place by phone.
