Chair Exercise Classes with Luz are canceled Thursday 10/22 at Middle Smithfield Township Community & Cultural Center and Friday 10/23 at Hughes Library.

Currently, you can still join Luz for her guided meditation at Hughes on Saturday 10/24 and for regular Chair Yoga on Monday 10/ 26 - both at 2pm

Alicia Vincelette from Inked Edge Paper Art will be coming to SMF to teach us how to make multifold, Fall/Autumn cards as featured here! Registration for this free event now open and we hope that you are looking to join us! Plenty of space left!

šŸŖ‘ A few days away until Chair ZumbaĀ®!

Need a reason to get moving this week? Join Danny Grae for Evening Chair ZumbaĀ® on Tuesday, October 20, from 5:30ā€“6:30 PM! FREE.

This low-impact, seated workout is designed for all fitness levels and can be adapted for wheelchair users and most abilities. Youā€™ll get an upper-body workout, move to music, and maybe even work up a sweat ā€” all from a chair!

And if youā€™ve been thinking, ā€œI know someone who should come to thisā€¦ā€ ā€” this is your sign to invite them. Bring a neighbor. Call a friend. Tell a relative. Offer them a ride. Come with them. Or just share this image! Sometimes having someone invite us is all it takes to get started.

Our regulars are a friendly bunch, but you absolutely do not have to be a regular to join us. New people are always welcome!

Today we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh, that was first published on October 14, 1926. šŸŽ‰ Children can visit the Hughes Library or Library of the Smithfields and enter a raffle ticket for a chance to win a set of five Winnie-the-Pooh books. Deadline is November 15. Good luck!

šŸ’ƒ Chair ZumbaĀ® is back this month!

Just over a week until Evening Chair ZumbaĀ® with Danny Grae on Tuesday, October 20, from 5:30ā€“6:30 PM!

Chair ZumbaĀ® is a seated, low-impact version of ZumbaĀ® that gives you a fun upper-body workout while letting you move at your own pace. Itā€™s adaptable for wheelchair users and most fitness abilities. And yes, you can still break a sweat!

One of the best parts? The people. Our regulars have built a great little community, and itā€™s a fun way to get to know your fellow library-goers. But donā€™t worry if youā€™ve never been before! New faces are always welcome and encouraged!

Canā€™t attend yourself? Know a neighbor, friend, relative, or someone else who could use a little more movement and connection? Invite them! Offer them a ride, come along with them, or simply share this post with them.
