🎶CELEBRATING ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE🎶

The Martin County School District is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our high school marching bands during the outdoor marching band competition hosted by FFCC: Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit!

🏆Jensen Beach High School took home first place in Class 4A, sweeping all five special awards for outstanding music, percussion, colorguard, visual and general effect!

🥈South Fork High School earned second place in Class 2A!

🎺Martin County High School welcomed marching bands from across the area to its campus as the host for the competition.

Congratulations to our talented student musicians, performers and directors for their hard work and dedication! We’re proud to celebrate the talent and opportunities that make our back-to-back A-rated District so special! 👏

🚌SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK🚌

Our school buses carry precious cargo...our students!

During , we’re encouraging motorists and families to do their part in keeping students safe on and around school buses. Here are a few important safety tips to keep in mind:

🛑 Stop for school buses when their red lights are flashing and STOP arms are extended, as required by law.
🚸 Yield to pedestrians and stay alert for students crossing the road.
🚗 Slow down in school zones and watch for children near bus stops.
👨‍👩‍👧 Talk with your children about staying safe while waiting for, boarding and exiting the bus.

And a special thank-you to our dedicated school bus drivers and Transportation team, who work hard every day to transport our students safely to and from school!

In the Martin County School District, good character means treating others with kindness, respect and care. Through the six pillars of character—trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship—we encourage our students to build a school community where everyone feels valued and included. From October 18-24, it's Character Counts Week in the MCSD!

But also...join us on October 21 to wear ORANGE for Unity Day! 🧡 Together, let's stand united against bullying and stand up for kindness and inclusion. We can show that every student deserves to feel they belong.
