🌱 AQUATIC PARTNERSHIP IN ACTION 🐚

Good things are growing in the Indian River Lagoon! 🌊

Our Senior Environmental Project Manager Mike Yustin teamed up with The Great Shellfish Company and Tetra Tech for a clam release and seagrass planting focused on improving water quality and supporting a healthier lagoon.

🐚 3.2 million baby clams were released, provided by The Great Shellfish Company, while Tetra Tech planted seagrass to help restore this vital ecosystem. 🌱

We’re working together for a healthier lagoon and a stronger environment for our community. 💙

🌳 300 CYPRESS TREES PLANTED! 🌳
This week our Environmental Resources Team got together for a habitat restoration workday. We planted 300 cypress trees at the East Fork Creek and Kitching Creek, every single one donated by a generous nursery.

These trees will help filter water, stabilize banks, create wildlife habitat, and bring a little more wild beauty back to South Florida.

As MARTY Bus service remains suspended, Martin County is working to come up with quick solutions. If you need a ride, here are the numbers to call:

Fixed route 772-463-2860
Para-transit 772-463-2822
United Way 772-283-4800

We are grateful for United Way's assistance and will continue to keep you updated.

The MARTY public transit system, which operates five bus routes in Martin County, abruptly shut down Oct. 8.

10/08/2026

Martin County is aware that its contracted transit service provider has canceled its services effective immediately. As a result, MARTY transit service is currently interrupted.

Martin County is actively working to identify solutions to restore transit service as quickly as possible and minimize the impact on our riders. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

We understand the importance of MARTY services to our community and apologize for the disruption.
