It's Medicare Open Enrollment through December 7th. During this time you can switch between Original Medicare (federally managed) & Medicare Advantage (privately managed), change your drug plan, and change the type of Medicare Advantage Plan you have. As you weigh your options, keep in mind that 99% of Medicare Advantage plans require approvals and authorizations before care can be given and that we often finds Medicare Advantage plans to be more challenging in rural areas.
