Last night, we had the opportunity to host a great Self-Defense Class led by Jonathan Metcalf, owner and instructor of Integrity Martial Arts!🥋 😁

Participants learned practical, easy-to-learn strategies designed to minimize risk, recognize potentially dangerous situations, and get to safety quickly. The class also covered the psychology behind many acts of violence, along with the fundamentals of striking and escaping.

A big thank you to Jonathan for sharing his knowledge, experience, and expertise with our community! We appreciate everyone who came out and took part in this valuable class.😄

Creativity is in full bloom at our Fall Painting Program!

We’re already into Week Two of our new four-week program, and our young artists had a wonderful time bringing these adorable scarecrows to life on canvas! Each painting was unique, colorful and full of personality.

A big thank you to instructor Nina Chrisanthopoulos of Create and Paint Fun for making each week so much fun and inspiring our young artists to let their creativity shine!

We’re already looking forward to seeing what they paint next week! 🎨🍁

A heartfelt thank you to Scott Terra and Caroline Isenberg for hosting the New England Premiere Adjusting Company’s Charity Golf Scramble at Suffield Country Club! It was a beautiful day filled with a lot of generosity, and so much fun (and some lost golf balls too). Thank you to all the golfers, sponsors, and volunteers!

Their generous financial donation and backpack drive will make a meaningful impact on Suffield residents and the programs supported by Parks & Recreation and the Senior Center.

Director of Community Services, Peter Leclerc, had the pleasure of inviting them to lunch at the Senior Center to show firsthand how their generosity will directly benefit our seniors. In true giving spirit, Scott and Caroline jumped right in and began serving lunch to more than 60 seniors before even sitting down to enjoy their own meal!

Their kindness, generosity, and genuine commitment to giving back embody our mantra of helping to make Suffield a great place to live, work and play. We are incredibly grateful for their support and the difference they are making in Suffield!
