A little extra time and support can make a big difference in a student’s success. SPS Saturday Academy gives students in grades K–12 an opportunity to strengthen their skills, build confidence, and receive additional academic support. Through hands-on learning and guidance from SPS educators, students can reinforce what they’ve learned while taking advantage of opportunities for attendance and academic recovery.

Sessions are held approximately every other Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon at designated elementary and secondary locations. The next application window will open on October 21 at 8:00 a.m. Give your student another opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed along the path to achievement!

ONE TEAM. ONE GOAL. STOP BULLYING!

Today, on National Bullying Prevention Awareness Day, four King's Fork High School football players are standing together to share an important message: Every student belongs. Every voice matters. Kindness always wins. Being a leader goes beyond the field. It's about showing respect, standing up for others, and helping create a school community where everyone feels safe, valued, and included.
Respect starts with us. Bullying ends with us. 🧡

The Academy is a national leadership development initiative created through a partnership between the National Alliance of Black School Educators and Howard University’s School of Education.
