One of the perks of chapter membership is being able to attend the Houston Area Council quarterly events.

The council is an organization of organizations and comprises leagues from Bryan-College Station, Victoria and the Houston area.

At last week's meeting, we heard from the National Women's Leadership Conference scholarship winners. It was so inspiring to hear everyone's takeaways and how they plan to use that new knowledge.

We were fortunate to have four scholarship winners in our chapter:
April Bray
Windee Falla
Katie Smith
Wendy Bowser

We are grateful for the council's support of our members and leagues.

The next meeting will be in January, however, there will be a holiday event in December. Be sure to follow the Houston Area Council page for more information.

Happy National Dessert Day!

We all know a little something sweet makes a good day even better! And just like dessert, life is sweeter when shared with great friends and amazing women!

So today, we're settling a very important debate…

Are you Team Cake, Team Pie, Team Cookies, or Team Ice Cream?

Drop your favorite dessert in the comments! Bonus points if you share a picture and make the rest of us hungry!

Because at Fort Bend County ABWA, we believe in making connections, growing together, and enjoying a little sweetness along the way!

What a wonderful evening with our Fort Bend County ABWA sisters! 💕

At last night's meeting, we heard from members who attended the National Women's Leadership Conference last week as they shared their experiences, favorite moments, and inspiring takeaways!

We also inducted Rhonda Nunez and recognized NaTasha Vaughn for 17 years of membership in ABWA. 🎉

And shared the path on how members can help us to our next goal of Level 1 Best Practices. 💃

The evening was filled with great food, meaningful networking, laughter, and, of course, the sisterhood that makes ABWA so special.

It's always a joy to connect, celebrate one another, and continue growing together, both personally and professionally.

This is what ABWA is all about — connecting, growing, and leading together!
