What happens when you let the woods lead the design? You get The Trails Rec Center. 🌳

Tucked right into the trees, this nature-play destination was designed in partnership with landscape architect KGA-DeForest. Kids can hop across tree stumps, climb over a giant, colorful caterpillar from ID Sculpture, and make music together in an outdoor music garden by Percussion Play. 🐛🎶

Families get room to slow down too, with plenty of seating along the trails and facing the play space, so parents can relax while kids explore.

Nature play builds confidence, sparks creativity, and gets kids moving in the fresh air. That’s what creating playground memories filled with fun is all about. 💚

A big shout out to our founder, Leigh Walden, for helping bring this vision to life! 👏 Is your community ready for its own nature-play adventure? Don’t stump yourself planning alone. 🪵 We guide you every step of the way. https://na2.hubs.ly/H08rjJz0

Outdoor spaces shape the school experience just as much as anything inside the building, and we are at txEDCON 2026 this week at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston to help school districts build ones worth being proud of. Booth 943. 🛝

Outside time matters for every student, not just the little ones. From playgrounds built for elementary campuses to fitness courses that challenge middle and high school students, and yes, the adults too, we have outdoor solutions for every age and every campus.

This year we also brought Percussion Play Congas to the booth, colorful, durable hand drums that bring music and movement to any outdoor space. Stop by and test them out. 🥁

If your district has outdoor needs, a playground that needs updating, or a fitness area you have been thinking about, stop by and find the fun abounds team at Booth 943.

We were thrilled to host BCI Burke Playground Equipment CEO, Mike, at the fun abounds office this week, and having the whole team together in one room made it even better. We talked industry trends, shared what we are seeing across Southern Texas, and he came ready to listen to our questions.

We wrapped the afternoon with lunch as a group, good food, honest conversation, and a partner who flew down to Southern Texas because this market and this team matter to him. That is what our clients benefit from every single day. 🤝

Thank you for making the trip, Mike. See you next time. ✈️

Yesterday fun abounds took it to the fairway. 🏌️⛳ Oz represented us at Precinct2gether's TeeUp2gether Charity Golf Tournament at Bay Oaks Country Club, a fun day on the course raising money for veterans, kids, families, and seniors across Harris County Precinct 2.

We were proud to sponsor as a Circle of Friends and even prouder to be in a room full of people who genuinely care about their community. Playgrounds, parks, and or fairways, we show up for the communities we serve.

The City of Bryan - Government gave their littlest park-goers something to be excited about. Ages 2-5 now have a brand new home at Ibarra Park, and it looks fantastic. The playground replaced a damaged playset and fits right in alongside the existing 5-12 age range structure already in the park, so now the whole family has a place to play.

Climbing elements, interactive panels, slides, a spring rider, and an integrated shade canopy keeping everyone cool while the fun happens underneath. The City of Bryan did right by this community and it shows.

Big shoutout to Norman for helping bring this one to life. 🛝

Parks like this are what make a neighborhood worth coming home to, and we're proud to be part of building them.

Ready to build something your community will love? Let's talk!

📚 Class is almost in session! We’re heading to txEDCON 2026 in Houston!

Outdoor play and physical activity are an important part of a healthy school day. They give students opportunities to move their bodies, build coordination, develop social skills, boost confidence, and engage with their surroundings. We’re excited to bring that conversation to txEDCON and talk about outdoor spaces that encourage movement, imagination, and connection.

We’ll be at the George R. Brown Convention Center, October 8–11, in Booth 943.

We’d love to see you and share ideas for creating outdoor spaces where students can play, move, and grow! 🛝 Already have an idea for your school? We’d love to help bring it to life! https://na2.hubs.ly/H0881ZZ0

Six years ago, Payton Newton joined the fun abounds team, and the Coastal Bend has been better for it ever since. 🎉

From one of his very first projects at City of Aransas Pass Newbury Park to designing what he calls his dream playground for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, Payton has poured himself into every project he touches. Cities, churches, schools, and communities across the Coastal Bend have spaces filled with happy kids because of the work he puts in every day.

Payton holds a Master of Science in Recreation and Leisure Services and is a Certified Playground Safety Inspector, a respected credential in this industry and a reflection of both his knowledge and commitment. That combination of education and hands-on experience is part of what makes him so valuable to the clients he serves and to the team around him.

Six years of creating playground memories filled with fun, and we hope there are many more to come. 🛝

Happy work anniversary, Payton. Thank you for everything you bring to this team and to the communities you serve.

Fab Friday from W.A. Tarrow Park in College Station! 🎉

The City of College Station and College Station Parks and Recreation invested in their community and W.A. Tarrow Park is better for it. What was once an older playground is now a vibrant space built with ages 5-12 in mind, multiple levels, slides, climbers, and a niche capsule giving kids plenty to explore. When cities prioritize spaces like this, kids spend more time outside, families come together, and neighborhoods feel it.

The community favorite so far? The BCI Burke Playground Equipment Victory Wall. Challenging and fun for all fitness levels, it works the entire body and gives kids three different ways to make it to the top. The inclusive 360 loop slide is its own experience entirely, designed so every kid can move independently and take control of their play.

Big shoutout to Norman for helping the City of College Station bring this to life.

Kids in College Station are going to grow up with memories made right here at W.A. Tarrow Park, and that's what creating playground memories filled with fun is all about. 🛝
