🧹❤️ **Happy Custodian Appreciation Day!** ❤️🧹

Today we celebrate the amazing custodians and maintenance workers who work behind the scenes every day to keep our schools clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our students and staff.

Our custodians do SO much more than clean. They are here early, stay late, tackle the unexpected, move furniture, deal with spills and messes, prepare spaces for events, keep things running, and somehow make it all look easy. 😊

But what makes our custodial team truly special is **the people they are**—their dedication, dependability, willingness to help, good humor, patience, and the pride they take in caring for our schools. Those qualities make a difference every single day.

A lot of what you do may go unnoticed, but it doesn't go unappreciated. **We see you, we appreciate you, and we are grateful for you!**

Thank you to our entire RSU 24 custodial team for everything you do for our schools, our students, and each other. We couldn't do what we do without you!

💙 **Happy Custodian Appreciation Day!** 💙

Mountain View School 5th graders traveled to Lakewood in Acadia National Park to participate in a Community Science Investigation. Students collected data to be used by scientists to monitor the local environment and ecosystem. They ventured through the woods to observe and count salamanders as a way of investigating soil health and dug deep into the mud searching for dragonfly larvae to monitor the mercury levels in the water. It was an amazing hands-on experience as citizens and rewarding to be a part of a large data collection!
