The County & District Clerks’ Association held its Region VI Fall Meeting at FBC The Roc. We opened with JP Judge Brad Cummings leading us in pray and pledge, followed by Joey Day singing the National Anthem and then a warm welcome by County Judge Robert Newsom.
Our morning speakers included Constable Precinct 2 John Beadle, Israel Lewis, and representatives from the Office of Court Administration. After lunch, County Court-at-Law Judge John Ginn shared words of encouragement and helpful tips with the clerks.
The meeting concluded with HCSO Investigator Shea Shaw and Texas Ranger Warren Williamson, who shared the fascinating story of how a 30-year-old cold case was uncovered and ultimately led to the person responsible being brought to justice.
We appreciate all of our speakers and everyone who helped make this a meaningful and informative meeting for our clerks! A special thanks to Hopkins County law Enforcement Association, Plain & Fancy Sandwich Shop, Los Mochis & Macie’s Mini Bundt Cakes & Sweets for the delicious food!!!
