This past Saturday the Ward 4 Marshal’s Office was honored to take our pink-ribbon patrol unit to the Queen of Pink Organization’s 18th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.
Throughout the event, breast cancer survivors and attendees had the opportunity to leave their names and messages on the ribbons displayed on our unit. We have been honored to see numerous people add their names to the truck and share a small part of their stories with us.
We want to thank the Queen of Pink Organization for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful event and commend them for the work they continue to do in our community. It was a privilege to be there and to see firsthand the support and strength that this organization brings to those affected by breast cancer.
Our pink ribbons will continue to carry the names of survivors throughout the month of October. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is more than wearing pink. It is about encouraging regular screenings, supporting those currently fighting, remembering those we have lost and celebrating the survivors who inspire us all.
We are proud to stand with our community in the fight against breast cancer.
