Yesterday at the MIH Symposium, Josh officially achieved his Certified Community Paramedic (CP-C) credential! 🚑✨
This national certification recognizes advanced expertise in mobile integrated healthcare, chronic disease management, and post-discharge care. By hitting this milestone, Josh is bringing even higher-quality, patient-centered care and resource navigation directly to our community.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Josh! 👏🌟

DC Duros also got the honor of speaking on a BHCore panel regarding the SCFD5 COMPASS Program that supports Josh’s position and allows for our focused community outreach efforts as well as furthering the efforts and support for mobile integrated healthcare within our state. For more on compass:

Today, we honor and remember the lives that were lost, the sacrifices that were made, and the service of all those who responded on this tragic day 25 years ago. We will always remember the sacrifice, bravery, and commitment that was given and will carry on that legacy.

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 lives were lost, including 343 firefighters, 60 law enforcement officers, and 8 EMTs/Paramedics who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We ask that you take a moment today to reflect on that compassion, dedication, sacrifice, and the unity that followed. We will never forget.

Today has been a busy day for C shift!

C Shift was dispatched to an FRC and arrived to a fully involved garage. Crews quickly got control of the fire. After extinguishing the main fire, crews were notified that embers from the fire had caught brush on fire across the train tracks in the area. E51 remained on scene to continue work on the garage fire while M51 left the scene, retrieved BR51, and responded to the brush fire. The brush fire and garage fire were fully extinguished. No injuries were reported. But the day didn't end there! Shortly after returning to the station, crews responded to several other calls, including a mutual aid Brush Fire in Monroe. Great work C shift! We are here to serve you!
