Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Kentucky State Police officer, Hayden Phillips, who made the ultimate sacrifice in his service to others. 💙

Our deepest condolences go out to his family, loved ones, fellow troopers, and the entire Kentucky State Police family. May they feel surrounded by love and support during this heartbreaking time. We will never forget his courage, dedication, and sacrifice.

Rest easy, 369. 🕊️💙

We would like to express our overwhelming gradtitude for all who came out, braved the heat and supported out fish fry and auction this evening. Tonight we were able to raise over $12,000 and with these funds we are able to continue to serve our community.

🚒 Happy Volunteer Firefighter Appreciation Day! 🚒

Today, we celebrate the brave men and women who answer the call—not because they have to, but because they choose to serve their community. ❤️

Our volunteer firefighters give their time, energy, and put their own lives on the line to protect their neighbors. They leave family dinners, get out of bed in the middle of the night, and respond when others are running the other way. They do it without expecting anything in return.

To every volunteer firefighter: Thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, your dedication, and your service. Your community is better and safer because of you. 🧑‍🚒🔥

And if you’ve ever thought about becoming a volunteer firefighter, this could be your sign. You don’t have to be a superhero—you just have to be willing to learn, serve, and be there when your community needs you. There’s a place for you in OUR family!

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!

If you’re interested or have questions, please reach out!

Volunteer. Serve. Make a difference. 🚒❤️

Have you ever thought about joining your local volunteer fire department?

We often get asked, “What do I need to do to join Summer Shade VFD?” The answer is simple!

To become a member, all you need to do is:
• Attend two consecutive monthly meetings.
• After your second meeting, our current members will vote to accept you into the department.

It’s really that easy!

If you’ve been thinking about getting involved and serving your community, we’d love to have you join us. Our monthly meeting is tonight (July 28th) at 6:00 PM. Come meet the members, ask questions, and see what we’re all about. We hope to see you there!
