Training night at SFD. Members trained this evening on search and rescue of large areas with limited visibility and a disruptive environment. With the use of thermal cameras they practiced navigating a large structure and locating potential victims. Members also familiarized themselves with the SCBA filling system and had a fun game of “Find the tool on the truck” where they practice their skills of remembering where equipment is located on the fleet to speed up when seconds matter. Congratulations to Firefighter Ray Corvin on winning! If you want to be apart of our team stop by or message us and we’d be happy to show you around. Our department is always accepting volunteers.
