TOWN OF SUMMERTON, SOUTH CAROLINA

REPEAL OF BOIL WATER ADVISORY

TO TOWN OF SUMMERTON RESIDENTS

OCTOBER 10, 2026

The Town of Summerton advises the residents of the Town of Summerton that they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking. Following disinfection and an intensive flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected by Oliver Environmental Services, Inc., from the drinking water system serving the Town. The results of this sampling indicated that the system is now safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.

If you should have any questions concerning this repeal of the Boil Water Advisory, you may call the Town of Summerton at (803) 485-2525.
