We have been so busy we almost forgot to post a very special event our recruiters and future recruits were a part of.
Charleston had it's Inaugural Low Country Coast Guard Tribute and Ball! To make the night EXTRA special, three future recruits were sworn in by the Vice Commandant Admiral Thomas Allan himself! There are not many, if any, that can say they were sworn in by the Vice Commandant.

Recruiting Office Charleston recently had the honor of swearing in our newest Coast Guard member. He was able to take advantage of his previous time in the Navy, entering through the Prior Service Direct Entry Program (PSDEP) and lateraled in as an E6. If you are active and near your ETS or within 18 months of when you got out, give us a call to find out how to enter the Coast Guard directly with little to no entry level training. Congratulations to NOW MK1 Scott, and good luck on your ship in Hawaii! 🫨

Folly Beach Wahine Classic

Yesterday we were able to get a few of our future Coast Guard recruits who are in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) a tour of Charleston's only Coast Guard 87' patrol boat CGC Kingfisher. A second tour was done by USCG Station Charleston that included a boat ride on a CG 45' Response boat.
