Yesterday morning units operated on a multi car accident on the top of Route 183 by the Berks County Line with a large debris field . As crews were there working we couldn’t help but notice the amount of vehicles that failed to slow down driving by the scene. Squad 34-55, Engine 34-10, Utility 34-75, Rescue 63-51 and two PSP cars all on scene and yet vehicles are still going by us at full speed. If you read this which we hope you do ask yourself

“Do I know what the Move Over Law is?”

“Or do I just not care?”

If you can’t MOVE OVER then SLOW DOWN.

The Squad Company took a ride over the Mountain Last night for some LZ training. Thank you Strausstown Volunteer Fire Co. for hosting and having us over.

Last evening, the SVFC hosted Penn State Health Life Lion to present training on setting up a landing zone and safely coordinating with medical helicopter operations. Some friends from Bernville Community Fire Company, Bethel, Frystown Fire Company, Marion, Keystone Fire Company, and Summit Station Fire Company, as well as Bethel Ambulance, were able to join us.

A little while ago units cleared a Vehicle Accident in Lake Wynonah. Squad 34-55 arrived and started assessing the scene. Yorkville was added for the Technical Team due to the damage to both structures. No injuries and both structures turned back over to the owners once deemed safe.
