that the City of Los Angeles is an affordable housing pioneer?
In 2016, Angelenos passed measure JJJ, leading to the adoption of the Transit Oriented Communities Program (TOC), the first of its kind in California to incentivize housing and affordable housing near transit.
In the past decade, the City has:
✅ Updated its housing policies
✅ Adopted additional incentive programs
✅ Rezoned areas to increase its housing capacity, and
✅ Streamlined processes to remove barriers to build much needed housing.
Over the next few months, City Planning will highlight the pro-housing policies and programs that have led to more housing in much needed areas.
