What an amazing day! The weather couldn't have been more perfect. It made the Harvest Day and Sandy Wells' appreciation ceremony so enjoyable. The kids (and even some adults) loved the temporary tattoos that library staff hosted. Sandy's love for the library was evident in the turnout for her recognition. We figured out that she had been a member of the library board for about 40 years. That is an incredible commitment and we so appreciate her! It was an honor to acknowledge her on such a beautiful day.

Long overdue recognition is taking place at the Library! This beautiful plaque will be placed in the Memorial Garden in a special place of honor. Sandy and her long service to the community is truly appreciated and will be displayed amongst the Hibiscus flowers planted for her.

The Summer Reading program wrapped up today with great weather, an awesome crowd, and special treats. It was hard to trim down the number of photos because we had so many! We started with snacks. Then announced winners including the guessing jar and top readers. Raffle tickets were then drawn before a special surprise from the Friends Group. The Kona Icee truck came again! We even posed for silly or just fun photographs. Before leaving, t-shirts were handed out, to those who earned them. It was all possible due to dedicated parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and siblings, who were willing to help support all that were signed up. Thank you to everyone, including the great staff!
