Don’t let gas haunt your home 👻

Gas water heaters, furnaces and stoves may seem harmless, but they contribute to pollutants that can worsen symptoms for asthma and increase the risk of heart and lung disease.

On the bright side, all-electric appliances, like heat pumps and induction stoves, are safer and more energy-efficient.

Want to see how your neighbors have gotten rid of gas appliance ghosts? Tour their homes on Oct. 10 to see clean, efficient appliances in action. Visit acterra.org/events/ and click, “Peninsula and South Bay Green@Home Tour 2026.”

Explore benefits, rebates and how to switch to all-electric appliances in your home by visiting Sunnyvale.ca.gov and search, "Electrify Your Home."
