* Please note this event is separate from the End of Life Workshop being held in Superior, Tuesday, Oct 27, from 4 pm - 6 pm *

Join the Western Montana End of Life Collective for an immersive day of learning about alternative, community-centered death care. The day will include a demonstration of what a home funeral can look like, a panel about green burial and other practical end-of-life planning topics, and an introduction to human-powered farewells through Missoula's bicycle hearse. We aim to create a space that engages these challenging topics through curiosity, participation, joy, and creativity.

Local death work practitioners and partners will be tabling throughout the event, showcasing holistic, community-oriented, and ecologically attentive end-of-life practices.

People who see their doctor regularly and have routine screenings are more likely to receive an early diagnosis if they develop a medical condition, and this contributes to better outcomes and a longer lifespan.

Getting a mammogram is often the best way to find breast cancer early, when it’s most treatable. A mammogram can detect breast cancer before any symptoms develop. MCHD will host flu vaccine clinics across Mineral County starting September 29 through October 1.

MCHD partnering with Mineral Community Hospital: COVID vaccine may be offered at these vaccine clinic dates based on availability.

If you are unable to attend one of these clinics, please call MCHD or MCH for an appointment.
