🔨 Facility Friday Update!
Suquamish Elementary's summer construction is complete! ✅

🚪 The Safe and Secure Entryway is finished, providing controlled access so that all visitors are directed into the front office and greeted by a staff member.

🏫 The classroom and student resource addition is complete, creating spaces to support students with disabilities and occupational therapy, alongside renovations that brought all classrooms into the main building.

🚗 Vehicle circulation and drop-off/pick-up improvements, including an increased parent vehicle queue, are finished and ready to make mornings and afternoons run smoothly.

🅿️ The parking lot and loop are complete and looking great!

These projects were made possible by the voter-approved 2024 Capital Projects Levy. You can learn more by visiting nkschools.org/2024levy

Thank you to our crews and contractors for their hard work this summer, and to our voters for making it happen.

Last Friday, Suquamish Elementary hit the field for the annual 5th graders vs. teachers kickball game! 🟡

The competition was fierce and the energy was high as students and staff faced off on the field. It is one of those end-of-year traditions that everyone looks forward to, and this year's game delivered.

The Class of 2026 made a stop at Suquamish Elementary this week for a Grad Walk to remember! 🎓 Graduating seniors returned to the place where it all began, walking the halls as current students and staff lined up to celebrate them on their way out into the world. It is one of our favorite traditions of the year.

Suquamish Elementary's annual Vocabulary Parade was, by definition, a great time! 📚

Students chose a vocabulary word or saying, created a sign, and dressed up as their word before taking the parade through the streets of Suquamish on Friday afternoon. Families and community members lined the route to cheer them on, and the creativity on display was truly impressive.

Thank you to our local police for keeping everyone safe by blocking off roads and escorting the parade, and to every community member who came out to support and cheer on our students!
