Red Ribbon Week Day 3: Team Day! 🏈

Today, we teamed up against drugs by showing off our favorite teams! Our staff also enjoyed a tailgate together. A big thank-you to Curt Harper for grilling fresh burgers and hot dogs and to our staff for bringing all the delicious tailgate foods! 🍔🌭

It’s been a great week so far, and we still have an exciting couple of days ahead!

Red Ribbon Week Day 2: CAMO DAY! 🌿

Our Tigers wore their camo today to “Hide from Drugs!” Students and staff showed their school spirit while celebrating the importance of making healthy choices and living drug-free!

At FDES, we’re encouraging our students to stand strong, make good choices, and build a bright future! ❤️

Red Ribbon Week Day 1: WEAR RED! ❤️

Our Tigers wore RED today to kick off a week focused on making healthy choices and living drug-free!

We brought the excitement with a pep rally featuring students representing all sports from Appling County High School, partners from the Mark Melton, Sheriff of Appling County Department, and the Pirate Brigade Marching Band! 🏴‍☠️

Students enjoyed games, heard high school students share why choosing to stay drug-free matters, and cheered along as the cheerleaders brought the spirit and energy!

A HUGE thank-you to Appling County High School, the Pirate Brigade, the Sheriff’s Department, our PTO for the goody bags, and our FDES staff for pulling off this awesome kickoff. We’re grateful for a community that shows up for our children!

🧡 ORANGE you glad we stand UNITED?! 🧡

Fourth District was a sea of orange today as our Tigers came together to celebrate Unity Day!

Today was a reminder that kindness matters, everyone belongs, and we all have a part to play in creating a school where every student feels safe, valued, and included. Together, we stand against bullying and choose kindness, acceptance, and inclusion!

📚 Learning, Leading, and Growing!

Mrs. Harper joined fellow Appling County principals in Athens this week for the Georgia Principals Conference! ❤️

Great leaders never stop learning! This conference provided valuable opportunities to collaborate, gain fresh perspectives, share ideas, and explore ways to strengthen teaching, learning, and leadership in our schools.

We believe that growing as leaders helps us better serve our teachers, students, and families. We are excited to bring new ideas and inspiration back to our schools as we continue striving for excellence in all we do!
