Homeless children and youth shall not be required to attend a separate school or program for homeless children and shall not be stigmatized by school personnel. The District shall provide appropriate educational services or programs for students who have been identified as having a handicap or disability, regardless of the nature or severity of the handicap or disability. The District shall also provide for the reasonable accommodation of a student's sincerely held religious beliefs with regard to examinations and other academic requirements. Requests for religious accommodations shall be made in writing and approved by the building principal. The District encourages informal resolution of discrimination complaints. Hamilton High School students are stepping up to make milestone school events accessible for everyone by holding a Formal Dress Drive to benefit the Cinderella Project. Members of Club Action are collecting formal dresses and accessories through November 30.

The drive aims to collect new or clean, gently used Homecoming and Prom dresses, formal dress shoes and accessories. By repurposing these items, Club Action members hope to alleviate the financial burden of formal wear for students in need, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to attend their school dances in style.

Community members are invited to drop off donations in the Hamilton High School front office. Students are also encouraged to bring donations to the collection bin located in room S5. Every dress a student donates earns them a raffle ticket for a chance to win a gift card.

Club Action’s motto is “be aware, take action, create change.” Club Action explores issues of interest within the broader themes of human rights, animal rights and environmental concerns.

Dozens of local senior volunteers visited Hamilton High School on October 20 for the Seniors & Students Annual Fall Kick Off Event.

Student Council members from Templeton Middle School volunteered their time to socialize with seniors and serve light refreshments during the event.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Seniors & Students Coordinator Christy Gest-Marlin at [email protected].

Hamilton High School students got a hands-on introduction to manufacturing and metalcasting on October 19 during Mercury Marine’s “Foundry in a Box” demonstration. The career exploration event gave students an opportunity to explore the science and engineering behind metalcasting and highlighted the precision, problem-solving and technical knowledge involved in modern manufacturing.

Metalcasting is a manufacturing process used to produce components for a wide range of industries, including marine propulsion. During the activity, students learned how molten metal can be poured into a mold and allowed to cool and solidify to create a finished part.

The demonstration is the latest in a new series of career exploration events scheduled at HHS during the 2026-27 school year. Mercury Marine’s participation helped connect students with Wisconsin’s strong manufacturing heritage and the range of career opportunities available in engineering, materials science, production and skilled trades.

Hamilton High School appreciates Mercury Marine and everyone involved in bringing this engaging learning experience to students. Opportunities like this help broaden students’ understanding of potential career paths while encouraging curiosity, creativity and critical thinking. Mercury Marine

Hamilton High School students and staff came together October 21 for the second annual Build Hope Walk, reaffirming the school’s commitment to promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma and supporting su***de prevention.

“We come together as a school community to share messages of hope, connect and support,” said Hamilton High School Counselor Kristin Hasbrook. “Our inaugural Build Hope Walk was held in the fall of 2025, and we were overwhelmed by the incredible participation of both students and staff. It is inspiring to see this important tradition continue as we work together to build hope for the future.”

Through the purchase of Build Hope T-shirts, students and staff raised more than $3,700. A donation will be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Waukesha and some proceeds will also stay at HHS to continue growing mental health support for the school community.

To continue raising awareness, HHS students are encouraged to wear their Build Hope T-shirts or green attire to the October 23 HHS football game at Grove Field, further emphasizing the school's commitment to mental health advocacy.
