The future is bright! Maxwell HS of Technology Navigators recently hosted its annual Automotive Career Fair focusing on collision repair and the mechanical industry. More than 200 automotive students attended and spoke with vendors to learn the ins and outs of the collision repair and mechanical industries and had the opportunity to find local jobs in their area.

June is Pride Month!
Pride Month commemorates the 1969 Stonewall protest in New York City, and recognizes the impact that le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, q***r, and intersex (LGBTQI+) individuals have had on history–locally, nationally, and internationally.
GCPS celebrates individual as we cultivate a culture of belonging while leading with empathy, equity, and excellence to ensure that students, families and staff feel welcome, safe, accepted, valued, and prepared for the future.

Construction students at Berkmar High School recently participated in an industry-recognized Forklift Certification training opportunity at Gwinnett Technical College in partnership with Georgia Power. Students who completed the training and passed the assessment earned a forklift certification, strengthening their employability and industry readiness.

Great work! Recent Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) graduates, Emily Douglas of Grayson High School and Joshua Cornett of North Gwinnett High School, are recipients of Georgia United Foundation high school scholarships.

More young learners in the GCPS Shiloh Cluster will soon have access to high-quality early education for the 2026–27 school year! GCPS and Gwinnett County Government have teamed up to open the Joyful Learning Academy.

Get ready for a summer of reading! Starting on Friday, May 29, GCPS Book Mobiles Pow and Explore will hit the road, followed by the Quest Van on Tuesday, June 2.
Together, these mobile libraries will travel to 103 community stops throughout the summer, helping students who may not have easy access to a public library continue reading while school is out.
