LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE HOLDS OPEN HOUSE

In accordance with the State of Maine’s Freedom of Access law. (Title 37B section 805)

WHERE: Waldo County EMA, 685 Swan Lake Avenue, Swanville, ME

The open house is planned to allow the public to view facility response plans, Material Safety Data sheets, and the Maine chemical reporting forms that have been submitted under federal and state laws.

The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will hold an open house at the Waldo County Emergency Management Agency, on Thursday, October 15th at 12:30 pm. The open house allows the public to view facility response plans, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and the Maine chemical reporting forms that have been submitted under federal and state laws.

That was quite a thunderstorm this afternoon. We had 35 road locations in Waldo County that were impacted by tree and electric powerline debris and damage. Most are now open to traffic; a few are still one lane. We had over 8,000 customers without power at the height.
