SCHS is currently in a Medical Hold due to a medical situation requiring emergency personnel. A Medical Hold is not a Lockdown. Students remain in classrooms while hallways are kept clear so responders can provide care quickly and privately.

UPDATE (12:20pm): The hold at SCHS has been lifted. We will share more information this afternoon.

UPDATE (11:53 AM): SCHS remains in a Hold while staff address a student-related situation. Additional law enforcement officers are on site to provide support. This Hold is NOT a lockdown. Students remain in classrooms or designated areas while hallways are kept clear. We will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.

The Swartz Creek High School Class of 2029 is showing what it means to be Dragons supporting Dragons!

All week long, students can purchase yellow bandanas and yellow cancer ribbon enamel pins for just $1 each during all lunch periods.

Every dollar raised will go directly to Zach Chittle’s family to help support them during his cancer journey.

A HUGE thank you to the Class of 2029 for organizing this effort and to everyone who continues to show up for Zach and his family! 💛

💛 LET’S TURN SWARTZ CREEK YELLOW FOR ZACH! 💛

Zach Chittle is a 15-year-old Swartz Creek High School student who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.

On Monday, November 2, we’re asking our entire Dragon family and the Swartz Creek community to wear YELLOW to show Zach and his family just how much support surrounds them!

Students, staff, families, alumni, local businesses, and neighbors… let’s come together for Zach! 💛
