🌿Outdoor Classroom🌿

Our 5th graders enjoyed an exciting, hands-on learning experience at the Outdoor Classroom north of Elk City, owned by the North Fork of the Red River Conservation District!

Students rotated through stations learning about habitats, controlled burns, bird hunting and calls, conservation, the Battle of Wash*ta, composting, flood damage, endangered animals, and poaching. They even got to spray a hose at the controlled burn station, add worms to compost, feel different animal pelts, and play an educational game!

🐕One of the biggest highlights was meeting Murphy Dog at the bird hunting station!

What a fun day of learning, exploring, and outdoor experiences!
