As we celebrated the last regular-season home volleyball match last Thursday, the Lady Lions would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the great fan support throughout the 2026 season. As they work towards their goal of another state volleyball appearance, their hope is to continue the long-standing successful Lady Lions volleyball team into the state tournament. In 2025, CHSAA celebrated its 50th anniversary of the Colorado High School Volleyball Championship. Our own Lady Lions have been a state qualifier in that tournament in more than half of those years. Many successful coaches have led the Lady Lions to state tournaments, including Carline DiDomentico, Heath Grantham, Claudia Conley, and our very own DeeDee Shiplet, who led the Lady Lions 19 times. Coach, as we all know her and her extraordinary career led the Lady Lions to winning the 2001 2A State Championship. As we look forward to a successful end of the 2026 season, the Lady Lions and the entire Swink Community would like to recognize Claudia Conley, who began this award-winning volleyball program. Claudia came to Swink in 1973 to begin a teaching and coaching career that spanned 38 years. Claudia came to Swink from Oregon with great experience playing and coaching volleyball to create a program that we continue to be proud of today.

Let's Flood the Gym at Simla on Saturday with MAROON.
For all those traveling to Simla on Saturday, please wear your maroon to show your Lion Pride.
There is a pep bus going to Simla for high school students. We will be leaving at 9 am and following the team bus to Simla. Any high school student can still go by showing up and jumping on the pep bus. The district will pay for the student's gate admission.

Congratulations to Larriana (aka Larry) on reaching 2,000 career digs against Calhan tonight! 🏐🔥

Tonight, we want to take a moment to recognize Larriana for an incredible accomplishment! This milestone is a reflection of four years of hard work, dedication, consistency, and commitment to the Swink Volleyball program. Whether playing libero (the best in the state, in our minds) or stepping into the outside hitter position, Larriana has always been willing to do whatever her team needs. She has been a leader on and off the court and has made a lasting impact on this program. Larriana, congratulations on reaching 2,000 career digs!

Larriana, we are so proud of you and all you’ve accomplished in a Swink uniform!
