Good Morning! We are continuing to monitor Hurricane Isaias. As the storm approaches, outer bands will most likely send us some impacts here in Screven County. Rain, wind, thunderstorms and a chance for tornadoes. Impacts for us are anticipated to begin this evening and into late Saturday night, Sunday morning. Make sure you have weather alerts on!

County crews are prepared to respond as needed.

Latest graphics from NWS-US National Weather Service Charleston SC are below.

Our impacts will be much lower than our neighbors, but we still need to stay prepared, alert and safe!

With the risk for tornadoes overnight Friday and throughout the day on Saturday, it's important to have multiple ways to receive storm alerts including Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAS).

WEAs are short emergency messages sent to mobile phones from cell towers within a defined geographic location. They are received based on current location and are not subscription based.

To check if WEAs are turned on, check the notification settings on your phone.
