SYMSONIA FIRE DEPARTMENT β JUNIOR FIREFIGHTER PROGRAM
Are you 15 to 17 and interested in the fire service? Symsonia Fire Department's Junior Firefighter Program lets local youth learn about firefighting, serve their community and train alongside our members. The program follows the guidelines set by the Kentucky Fire Commission.

WHAT JUNIOR FIREFIGHTERS LEARN

SAFETY COMES FIRST

They also don't take part in activities during school hours unless both the school and the department approve.
WHY JOIN?

β’ Build leadership, teamwork and discipline
β’ Get a head start on a career or volunteer role in the fire service. At 18, juniors can apply to become adult members.
